01 Patient Rights & Responsibilities

As a patient at Kemena Pacific Hospital, you can expect:

  • To be informed about your treatment and medical care.

  • To be treated with courtesy and respect.

  • To be provided with sufficient information and informed consent.

  • To be given a channel to provide your feedback.

  • To be informed about estimated charges.

  • To view a detailed bill upon request.

  • To know the identity and professional status of your care providers.

  • To have your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical records safeguarded.

  • To receive care in an environment conducive to good health.

As a patient at Kemena Pacific Hospital, you have the responsibility:

  • To know and understand your rights, and to exercise them responsibly and appropriately.

  • To provide complete and accurate information about your health, including your current condition and personal details.

  • To ask questions if you do not understand your diagnosis or treatment.

  • To accept responsibility for any consequences if you leave the hospital against medical advice.

  • To treat your care providers with courtesy and respect at all times.

  • To be responsible for the safety of your valuables.

  • To settle any financial obligations incurred from the treatment provided.

  • To comply with all hospital rules and regulations.

Kemena Pacific Hospital recognizes and accepts Guarantee Letters from corporate companies and insurance providers that have established credit facilities with us. Please present the Approved Guarantee Letter during registration or admission.

For patients paying by cash, an initial deposit may be required upon admission. Accepted payment methods include cash and major credit cards. Our Cashier Counter will inform you of the amount payable. You have the following room options:

  • Single-bed room

  • Two-bed room

  • Four-bed room

However, if the requested room type is unavailable, we will provide the next best available alternative. As a policy, we do not allow more than one companion per patient. Companions are not permitted to stay overnight in shared rooms. However, parents/guardians of pediatric patients are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the hospital stay.

Please pack lightly upon admission. You are required to wear appropriate clothing during your stay. An admission kit will be provided for your use, which includes essential items such as basic toiletries needed throughout your stay.

A secure storage box will be made available; however, patients are advised not to bring personal or valuable items to the hospital upon admission.

9:00 AM – 9:30 PM

ICU / HDU
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Visiting hours are subject to change due to Covid-19 control measures. Ward visits are only allowed in emergency cases, for pediatric patients, senior citizens, and patients with special needs. For the latest updates, please contact the hospital.

By Cash or Credit Card

Note: We are a panel for most insurance and TPA providers. The listed insurers and TPAs represent only a portion of our full panel. For confirmation, please check with your insurance or TPA provider, or contact the Customer Service Department at any of our facilities.

Once your Consultant has deemed you fit for discharge, it typically takes around two hours (on average) to prepare your bill.
The ward staff will arrange your discharge documents, payment details, and medication.
Once the bill is ready, please present the discharge documents and proof of payment at the nurse station.
For credit card payments, we accept VISA and Mastercard. The Maybank EzyPay and HSBC Easy Payment Plan are available at selected hospitals.
You will be provided with a Discharge Notification document, investigation reports, prescriptions, and medications as per your treatment.
If you require a medical certificate (MC), please inform your consultant.
Once billing is complete, please vacate the room promptly out of consideration for other patients.

Insurance Coverage

This method of payment may take up to four hours to process.
If you wish to leave the hospital earlier, you must leave a security deposit equivalent to the outstanding bill at the billing department. This deposit will be refunded upon approval from your insurance provider.
If your insurance company declines approval, you are required to settle the bill via cash or credit card.
If the approved amount is less than the final bill, you must pay the balance.
The original copies of investigation reports will be sent to your insurance provider. You will receive copies of these reports and your Discharge Summary.

If your room stay extends past 12:00 PM on the day of discharge, an additional room charge will be applied.
